Food Spots

Grand Hyatt Manila offers a variety of delicious dining experiences right at their doorstep.

THE PEAK

The Peak offers a unique and high-class dining experience with a stunning view of Metro Manila. The menu features appetizing French onion soup, fries, and linguine, as well as steaks and caesar salads. The service at this particular restaurant sucks considering this is a restaurant in the Grand Hyatt.

This is a steakhouse with a view. I don’t think it’s worth the money. If you want to experience it book an outdoor table and have cocktails there instead. The concept and ambiance set the bar high. The food is solid. But the service doesn’t cut it. =

The first thing you'll notice when you step out of the elevator and into the 60th floor is the eclectic mix of industrial and traditional Filipino design scattered throughout its interiors.

The modern open kitchen with its stainless steel fixtures will steal your attention, but with a quick survey of the area, you’ll see solihiya-inspired room dividers and other conversation pieces. Even the walls by the elevators have embossed patterns that will remind you of tribal tattoos.

The heart of The Peak is The Grill, which features an open-fire charcoal grill. Surrounding tables get a front-row seat to the live culinary show in the kitchen.

NO.8 CHINA HOUSE

Everyone has their go-to spot for Peking duck, and for many of Manila’s most discerning gourmands, that restaurant is No. 8 China House. Sophisticated and stylish, Grand Hyatt Manila’s celebrated Chinese restaurant is a reliable choice for special occasions and family get-togethers.

From delectable Cantonese roasts to handmade dim sum and wok-fried specialities, the restaurant offers something for every diner—children included, as their dramatic show kitchens and presentations make for a truly engaging experience.

At No. 8 China House exceeds expectations with its impeccable customer service and impressive food knowledge. From the moment you step in, the staff's warmth and attentiveness make you feel like a valued guest.

loved the food and the duck was really the highlight of the whole experience

KEY COFFEE KISSATEN

Having recently dined at the newly-opened Key Coffee, I can confidently say that it’s one of the rare cases when you get exactly what you come for and more great coffee and even greater food, all served to you in a cozy and charming atmosphere.

Key Coffee, one of Japan's oldest coffee roasters, opened the first restaurant-café in the Philippines. The brand has always been synonymous with kissaten. (Japan’s traditional tea shops) which explains its vintage-rustic interiors.

While coffee is the main event when at Key Coffee, I’ve found that what truly makes you stay is their food delicious, filling, and an exceptional fare of one-of-a-kind dishes. Specializing in Western-influenced Japanese cuisine called YŌSHOKU, Key Coffee ups the ante by incorporating distinctly Filipino flavors and ingredients while still offering the traditional kissaten staples.

When it comes to caffeine, it's better to stick to the hand-pour coffee classics that highlight the signature coffee beans. It's easy to fall in love with the smoothness of Key Coffee's Premium Blue Mountain Blend the most, but if sweeter coffee is your cup of coffee (pun intended), the Shoyu Caramel Popcorn Cappuccino is a safe choice. It's a coffee and dessert in one!
